Another good tkd story in yesterday's Korea Herald:
USFK (US Forces in Korea) mulls mandatory taekwondo training for GIs
The story goes that the US 8th Army command will consider incorporating the art into its mandatory training program for its solidiers. It has already been a compulsory part of the training for the 15000 combat soldiers of the US 2nd Infantry Division deployed near the inter-Korean border since Nov 2000. The newspaper states that around 30000 US soldiers have earned 10th/9th Kup and 100 gained black belt since the tkd program began.
Sounds like good news to me.
