It would probably be a good idea to have a list of language resources in the stickies here.

My limited research has found a wikibook on Mandarin so far but no doubt there are others out there. Note that the Cantonese wikibook does not yet contain much material. The BBC has a few tutorials and links too.

I found this web with lots of links, I've found it very useful (and when I begin seriously with Chinese I'll found it more useful :D )

It's organized in sections like "Listening", "Reading" and others very intuitive. Hope you find it interesting :) it was a great discover for me
