OK, in about 4 months I'm going to join the TA (hopefully), I've been watching videos and reading about the training they go through, it mainly seems to be endurance, they do speed marching with a backpack of 14.5kg, they do push ups, pull ups, dips, medicine ball work and a bit of sprinting by the looks of it. So here is my routine.

Monday
3 set of Push Ups throughout the day
3 sets of Triceps Dips throughout the day
3 sets of Chin Ups throughout the day
3 sets of Dorsal Raises throughout the day
- Front Lift Stretch 9-12 x 3
- Knee Lift 9-12 x 3
- Side Knee Lift 9-12 x 3
- Side Lift Stretch 9-12 x 3
- Standing Rotation 30 x 3
- Standing Side Bends 30 x 3
- Laying Backwards Bend 30 x 3
- Arm Swings 30 x 3
- Bent Arm Swings 30 x 3
- Arm swings to the side 30 x 3
- Chest and Back Pull backs 30 x 3

Tuesday
3 sets of sit ups throughout the day
3 sets of Crunches throughout the day
3 sets of Flutter Kicks throughout the day
3 sets of Double Flutter Kicks throughout the day
3 Mile Run
Stretching (static)

Then Wednesday would be the same as Monday and Tuesday the same as Thurday ect. I would take sunday as a rest day. I will get ahold of a medicine ball for christmas and start enompasing those in.

The exercises next to the dashes are dynamic stretches. Obviously I'm going to make sure I eat clean for the 4 months, and does anyone know where I can get a weighted vest from, that I can modify the weight to 14.5kg-15kg to simulate the weight the battle order will be.

Thanks for any feed back.

Sick you obvously have no idea what the TA is... just don't bother :p

Faster: The amount of fitness required to join is completely overrated and they will build you up to it anyway. The main thing to focus on is making sure your 3 mile run is fast, and that you can run 1.5 miles in under 10.45. Get yourself a pair of boots as well and run with them, the extra weight makes a huge difference, if you can borrow some run with webbing on too.

Most of those exercises constitute a warmup, not a workout. I would recommend you do ALL your bodyweights in a single day - the intensity will do you good. Do pressups, then chinups, then pistols, then situps, then the next set of pressups etc. You'll be knackered. In theory you should be able to do this twice a week or maybe three times. The running however is the main bit, if you are stuck for time, do the running - the rest (unless you are particularly weak) will come naturally.

All right ill throw all those exercises together into one day and do them every other day in one continuous session, then ill do running the other day. As I get used to it, ill start doing it every day. I can already do about 15 pull ups 50 push ups countless ammounts of the stomach exercises so I dont think Ill struggle, but I like to win, even if they're just testing us...

Were you in the Army Thecount?

You don't need to run or do exercises every day. There is quite a high risk of overtraining.

I'm not in the Army, however I have toyed with the idea of joining for about a year. Two of my best mates are in the TA and I know various other peoeple in the TA/Armed forces.
