i no ul probably have herd this sooooo many times, but cud u help me decide what martial art i shud take. im 15 (16 in april), 5'10" and about 11 stone (regular build). i want sumthing that focuses on punching rather than kicking as my legs are not that flexible after a car acident a few years ago. i dont mind holds but i dont really want throws or grappling, but thats purely out of prefence. o year, many of my frends (half of which have been takin martial arts 4 sum time now) say i have a realy high pain thresh hold, if that helps at all. id like to take this for self defnce, but mainly for sport. i think thats about it. plz help me, cus im confused on what to take. thanx

Wing Chun is a style of Kung Fu that is focussed alot on hand techniques.

That said, look around and give a few things a try. There are bound to be other styles with a strong emphasis on hand-techniques

Try some boxing. They do loads of punching, and nearly all the gyms I've seen are sport oriented
