How much nutrition do you loose by eating frozen veg etc as compared to fresh ?

Not a lot IMO, it's a pretty good method of ensuring something is relatively fresh and untampered with if it's been flash frozen at the site.

frozen veggies > "fresh" at supermarket.

alot of times the fresh veggies at the supermarket take a while to get there, and sometimes they sit in a warehouse to fully ripen, but when they are frozen, they are as mcg said flash frozen so they aren't rotting and are often times more fresh than the veggies in the supermarket.

now, if you get something at a farmer's market, however, i think it'd be the best way to go, cuz i think they are alot fresher. and if you can grow them yourself, then thats better still.

Although frozen veggies are usualy "blanched" (quickly boiled for a few seconds), they probably don't loose much nutrition. Do you intend to thaw them and eat them raw, or cook them somehow?
