Does anyone know of a Website (freebie) that shows what American names look like in Japanese? (Or is it called Kanji?)
Would like to know the translation for my sons name;
Christopher or Chris if that easier.

Thank you.

Just noticed something on this website.

The last symbol in the horizontal name is like a horizontal hyphen.
In the vertical name, that line is turned 90 deg. Is that correct? Shouldn't that also be horizontal?

well...lucky for you, i can read katakana! yeah..the horizontal line is kinda like....a hold of a note. if i were to say 'a' (the sound, not the letter) then make it longer by saying 'aa' that is what the line's effect creates. So.... its ku ri su to fa (with another 'a' on the end so you hold the note longer ^_^) :p

marmaduke- nope it's fine if you're writing vertically in katakana it can be written like that.
