Japanese style, lots and lots of kata. Founded by Kenwa Mabuni, Kosokun whould be along in a bit to fill you in :D

There are no harsh styles only harsh instructors and practitioners. Any style, is only as harsh or as mild as the person practicing, or leading the class.
