hey guys, wondering if anyone had any information on the 7 star mantis style kung fu school located in Perth,WA.Is it a good style as in the application of street style self defense? Is the Sifu a good instructor?(i heard he doesnt communicate well in english, but are his teaching methods still easy to learn?).......im sick of the 'Big Name, get the $$' type kung fu schools in perth, and am looking for a school of kung fu which might be a little bit smaller, but has a dedicated Sifu and teaches the fighting applications well......hope im not asking for too much!!!!Any suggestions of schools would be much appriciated.Thankyou

Hey, I'm not exactly an expert on kung fu styles, because i actually practise Ju jitsu, but i was interested in cross training in kung fu...
To cut a long story short, you said you were looking for a small kung fu school but dedicated teaching... I live in Parkerville, which is in the hills about 40 minutes out of perth, and down the road fomr where i live they teach Yau Hawk Tao kung fu in the Parkerville Hall. It seems a small school, though i haven't seen thme in action, but i will either next tuesday or thursday (whihc is when they train), and if you like i will post my opinion. I know this most likely wasn't exactly what you were looking for, but i hope it helps.

Ciao for now

Just go down and give it a try, you have nothing to lose. The 7*Mantis style has a very good rep, If I was in your shoes thats what I would do.:)
