Is chess too boring for you?
An interesting concept... Chessboxing: Combining the no.1 thinking sport and the no.1 fighting sport into a hybrid.

Those crafty Dutchies have found a way to finally resolve the impasse in the chess world. Put the players in a boxing ring, let them play for four minutes and then duke 'em up for a round with the gloves.


The patronage of this new sport has been taken under it´s wing by the World Chess Boxing Organisation (WCBO). It propagates the spreading of chessboxing to all 5 continents. Further planed stations in 2004 are Berlin and Moscow. The motto of WCBO: 'Fighting is done in the ring and wars are waged on the board'.

HAAHHAHA...we have the same chess board same rules...except when one guy loses a piece he gets PUNCHED in the face!! the game keeps going until one guy is knocked out.

I don't get it. You play chess, then you fight? I missed the connection. Could you elaborate please?

yep, you got it - a round of chess, then a round of boxing. Then start again. I think it's 14 rounds total? or something like that. You can win either by knockout :eek: , or checkmate :confused: , or if neither player wins like that then you count up all the points from both games and add them up. At least that's a very general idea, I may well be wrong with the details. :D
