For the month of September I'm going to aim at training everyday. :)
Not the same thing everyday but at least some sort of martial arts related activity.
I'd like to use this thread as a sort of training log to keep me motivated and record what I've done.

So far it's gone like this...

Saturday 1st - 20mins cross-trainer, 20min bag-workout from Iain Abernethy's website, run through all five pinan katas, sanchin and tensho, Cartwheels and handstands.
Sunday 2nd - One and a half hours of Karate.
Monday 3rd - 20mins boxing padwork, 15 mins body boxing, run through katas.
Tuesday 4th - One and half hours of Thai boxing
Wednesday 5th - 20mins cross-trainer, 20min bag-workout.

I wish i had the time to train every day, but good on you if you can do it, you are bound to feel the benefit.

Yeah time's definately the issue.
I don't start work til 10 so can fit sessions in from 8-9. If I can be bothered of course. Which is what this month is all about. :)

I'd advise taking one day off to rest each week, especially if you're planning to build a long term routine around this.

Having said that, go you! (And don't forget to rest. ;))

Believe you me...each session won't be the same. Some will be easier to do than others. Some might just be stretching or whatever.
I just want to reach a level of commitment. See what I can do.

Keep it up PA! I'd just advise you stretch, warm down and do things like massage/get enough rest.

I did a 4 week program with no rest, double...and triple sessions on some days last year. Never felt better or more fit at the end of the cycle.

Crikey. Triple sessions!?!
It's as much as I can do to find the time to do one session a day.
More hill sprints today! Joy.

PA - I had taken a few weeks off work at that time to really focus on training. It was great as I had the time and was able to do a morning, mid afternoon and night session with adequate recovery and meal intakes etc.

Overloading my body really exposed my specific weaknesses which was a great thing as I now have been working on strengthening those areas for the last year.

Enjoy those hill sprints!! :D

Damn I'm eating a lot these days. :)
Weetabix, Alpen bar, apple and banana is now my standard brekkie.
Still going strong though.

Weds 12th - Gym session (x-trainer, bagwork combination)
Thurs 13th - Hill sprints (damn I hate them...very effective though)
Fri 14th - Another cardio gym session
Sat 15th - Hard gym session...Saturday is when I can really put some effort in as I have more time...had a nap in the afternoon to compensate. :)
Sun 16th - Karate
Mon 17th - Gym session (really need to vary these sessions a bit more...although my cardio and bagwork are much improved through doing them...glad I got those new hand wraps the other month)
Tue 18th - Thai boxing..another hard session...5 continuous rounds on the pads...60% effort for the first, 80% second, 80% 100% and 100%.
Wed 19th - Introduced a full body 7 exercise weights session today taken from Iain Abernethy's site/advice. I have a horrible feeling that it will come back to haunt me over the next few days when the DOMS sets in. :(
Hill sprints again tomorrow...bless my aching thighs.
