K, so I have given myself a goal to gain muscle mass then to lose fat afterwards in 6 months. It also happens to be the pinnacle time around Spring Break ;).

I've done a lot of different routines in my days of lifting, and I'm just too indecisive to pick yet another one. I'm thinking of doing a 12 week routine for size, and then breaking into a 12 week routine to maintain that size (as best as I can) and start looking sexy naked.

I'm just looking for some new routines.. most of the routines I've done in the past stemmed from T-nation, but I liked most of them. For the most part now, all I do is 5x5 Deads/squats/chin ups/bench/incline with a few bi/tri work and crunches thrown in.

Any ideas?

Try giving TC's push pull workout a try.

Just started it myself, and so far, I'm loving it... although I do normally feel beat up after the heavy workouts.

you wont gain much in 6 months, pretty much the same amount you will lose by going on a cut 6 months later.

cutting is very catabolic, unless you have your diet nailed 120% will you keep your 6 month gains IMHO.

Just go for all out gains. You'll much better even if you gain a bit of fat.

Well, I should have worded it better.... I'm not aiming for a strict cut, more like after 3 months I will go back to normal eating habits. I can lose fat very easily, so its unnecessary for me to do any hardcore fat loss sessions, just a normal diet and time in the gym usually pulls it off.

Tell you what, if you can sort out a diet that will help you gain mass you won't want to go back to 'conventional' eating.

Just eat big, lift big and get big!

normal eating habits is?

Eating like a pigeon?
Eating on a see-food diet?

IMO your wasting your time, training hard in the gym just to watch it dissapear (and it will) when you take the foot right off the gas.

But for a bar body i guess thats what you want....
