Has anybody got idea's of a workout pattern that builds stamina/endurance? Something that can be done without too much equipment? That seems to be my biggest weakness. Especially when it goes to the ground.

Striking i'm ok but if my training partner takes me down, maybe upto 60% of the time I won't have the energy to fight a tight ground game and i'll usually get gnp'd or submitted, even though I know more submissions.

Interval training, sprints, sprints and more sprints, do things oriented to round times. Im never ever tired on the ground. 50 meter sprint X11, 30 seconds of rest in between. Trail running, sprint/jog mix on a nice solid trail and you'll be a god in no time

As previously stated, high intensity training. Train hard & train fast. Cross-fit type programs are this type of activity.

also grapple more.....nothing reallyconditions you for an event like doing the event......

i learned this the hardway. insape for football.....first day of wrestling and im gasping for air...different kinda shape.

same went for wrestling to track....i maybe in great cardio shape but not ready for a 400m sprint?


also as you get better at grappling you will "learn how to breath in the ring"

meaning you will learn when to relax, not be tense all the time and learn how to take "brakes" during the match.
