Hey, so i used to do rugby (woo') at my last school but had to quit because i couldnt wear a gum shield.

Now i know with a lot of MA's which involve sparring you need to wear a gum shield, so i was wondering is there any methods of wearing one that shouldn't make me spew everything i've ever ate/drank in my life up?

Or is this going to be a case of, keep wearing it and get used to it..?

If so... i'm gonna be sick a lot! lol but any advice greatly recieved, ta' much.

Just get used to it!
It's also worth noting that some are thicker and more gag-happy than others. I've got a pretty lightweight shock doctor pro (black and white one) and it's good enough for training. You can trim it down a bit too so that it doesn't go too far back in your mouth.

I also use a gel max for fights but it's a lot thicker and i bit more uncomfortable.

Just wear it in training ALL of the time. Warm-up, pad work, bag work, sparring etc. Just get used to it and also you get used to breathing through your nose and keeping your mouth shut

another problem of mine since i have sinus issues which often mean i can't breath out of my nose!

I guess i'll just have to start taking sprays/medicines agin...

better to throw up a few times and get used to it than lose teeth.
