View Full Version : Fuzzy Panther's Introduction

Hello!

I'm new to this board and I just wanted to introduce myself. First off, I found this link on Martialtalk and I think this is a cool site. ;)

Anyway, I've been practicing Aikido (Yoshinkan/aikikai style) for slightly over 2 years now and I'm currently 5th kyu working towards 4th. I love Aikido all though I am very clumsy and I'm constantly forgetting what technique I'm supposed to be doing (much to the frustration of my poor uke!) too.

I finally got my first hakama a few weeks ago and I'm still learning how to get up without tripping and how to fold it. :p

Anyway, it's nice to be here and it's nice to meet you all. :D

Hello there

Hakama's do take some time to get used to most of all when you do a forward roll !!

Still good luck and keep with it for it will come in time and training

Hi Fuzzy Panther,

Nice to see you on the forum.

Watch out for the Aikido Nutcases from Edinbugh!

I'd love to know where your 'handle' comes from, but I'm scared to ask :)

Enjoy!

Andy

"Handle"??????? If you mean "Fuzzy Panther" I'm borrowing that name from my kitten Kasumi. Kasumi is my baby  and she's all black with yellow eyes and she's ALWAYS playful so I nicknamed her Fuzzy Panther. That's were I get my name.;) I use a different name on other forums. What that name is...you'll have to discover for yourselves!:D

Hiya Fuzzy Panther,

Welcome to the forum. :)

Wonder how you managed to find that link on MartialTalk? ( ;) )

This is an extremely varied forum. As Andy warned though, there are some real nutcases on this forum! ;)

Welcome and I look forward to discovering what your handle is on other forums :)

If you're not feeling overwelcomed yet, here's another. I've just done a little bit of aikido, and I'm not named after any of my cats, but having a good forum is all about diversity, right?

Fuzzy Panther

That's right, Khafra and thanks! ;)

Welcome to the Forum Fuzz.

I guess I`d be one of those nutcases from Edinburgh.

You should like the site, we`re all proud of it.

Good to have another Aikidoka on the boards.

I keep hearing about all these "nutcases" that are supposed to be on this forum! Where are they? I haven't found any yet. Then again, I just just got here and haven't yet had the time to read past threads.:D

I may not be an Akido practitioner, but welcome! I just came on a week ago and have found this site to be very informative and it makes my day a little less hectic. Plus, I've have received other ways to look at things. :)
Let me say that the more you practice "Danielson" the less conscious of being relatively new you'll feel. Wax on-wax off!~

Fuzzy Panther,

I'm wondering in that you said that you have a cat called Kasumi that's Black with Yellow eyes that you also nickname Fuzzy Panther... What food does she like the best?

I'm going out tonight and hope to pick up a stray cat and thought it would be good to know what types of food they like, etc.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention. I'm insane. Hope that doesn't bother you. :)

Well Jim, if you really want to know what Kasumi eats......I feed her the dry cat food. She'll eat any kind whether it's her kitten food or the other 2 cats Senior-hairball control-food. I'm sure she'd love the canned cat food if I got some. She loves to try to steal tuna or anything meat but Kasumi also loves peaches  too. One of my other cats is powerless against cheese and any type of cookie that has frosting. Go figure. If you're really going to pick up a stray cat, I'm sure it would eat mostly anything but dry food (like the little kibbles) is usually cheaper and you can leave a bowl of it out for days without smelling up your house (I believe the canned food would get nasty if it stayed out for long without being eaten). I also wouldn't feed a cat any cream or milk because unless you had a litter box on hand since too much dairy effects cats like humans. ;) (I'm no expert on all this. This is just my observations on living with cats my whole life.)

I resemble that comment!!!! No I don't....I resent that comment!!! We are not nutters, we are perfectly well adjusted, sane, sensible people. Okay I'll let you off on thinking that FreeForm is a nutter - you're right.....Spike,well, yes, he is a little strange in the head....okay, okay FluffyDoc has some sort of symbiotic relationship with the local brewery and is obsessed with all things fluffy (we went and watched Reign Of Fire and she now wants to be a dragon....with a fluffy tail!)....and Tintin (our honourable if somewhat short Sensei) is not completely normal (never trust short people - their brains are too near their bums!)....but I am!!! I would have responded to this thread earlier but I have been busy fighting against the evil Captain Birdseye and discussing the future of the human race with Bob, my elf. There is no spoon!!!!:D

Welcome O Panther of the Fuzzy variety!:D

In case you think I'm some kind of maniac, I should point out that the fluffy tail would be of fire-retardant material.

Fluffy says:

In case anyone thinks you`re not some sort of maniac I`d like to point out she ran around the road pretending to be a dragon, flapping her arms roaring and saying "woosh" after we`d seen the film. While, Freeform was next to her pretending to be a helicopter.

Silver_no2 Said:
.....Spike,well, yes, he is a little strange in the head....okay

I resent that I`m not strange in the head, it`s everyone else in the world who is mad.

To that end, Fuzzy Panther, I think that you should re-locate yourself to Edinburgh (aka - The Capital of God's Country) and start your life anew in Britain! :D

Cheers for the compliment GG, we all think you're great as well (for a chinese stylist!) and hope that you will be able to grace us with your prescence shortly. For everyone else....

COME AND TRAIN WITH US!!!!

You howled Silver?

Ah...thats not sexism! Its just a statement of fact :)

btw...Martin is a superb Instructor and the class are strange but train diligently, (reasonably) safely and I would thoroughly recommend watching the BB fighting at the end of the class!

I wonder whether or not I should admit to knowing these people.......!
Welcome to the boards fuzzy panther (I'm a bit late with this I know, but I've not been online for ages) Good to have another Aikidoka here

Thanks for the recommendation Mel  , probably more effective than big blue letters (only joking silver, keep up the good work)

Why would you want a flame retardent tail fluffy, surely the flames come out the front end? Well, except on curry nights:D

As for everything else that was said--I'll just stand back and smile and nod as if I know what it all means. :p ;)
