I've noticed alot of people from calgary have been looking for martial art schools lately. I just thought I'd share with you a good website with a nice list (though not complete) of schools in calgary area, if any fellow calgarians are interested it can be found at: http://www.kungfugrip.ca.

Is it run by Sifu Bob? I think it's the Tek Gwan School.

I doubt it. The tek guan school here teaches White crane not White Eyebrow.

For all the MMA-like-minded people in the audience there is a
school in Calgary called Canuckles. Not sure of the address
or phone number, but I'm sure it's in the yellow pages if you're interested. They practise ground grappling, boxing, kickboxing, etc.

Hi all,
I noticed this thread mentioned White Eyebrow in Calgary, so I thought I'd join in. I am part of the White Eyebrow Hup Ging Do Martial Arts. Its run by Sifu Chi Fai Lau. The club is in NE Calgary. If anyone is interest let me know and I can forward you the website to the club.

HI,
I would like to start teaching a small group of people in Filipino martial arts. I have been training in it for four years and have previous experience in Ninjutsu, and chenstyle tai chi.
I would welcome any interested persons.
Location-wise Im thinking of teaching in a park, weather permitting, unless there is sufficient interest to warrant renting a space.

Does anyone know of any wc or vt schools out in calgary? I'm just wondering how many clubs are out there and which one teaches the best. If you know, how do they train, lots of chi sao, distance fighting, and their approach to the art, relaxed or tense, simple or complex footwork.
Thanx

Can I ask what you have heard? About the school, instructors, class?
