Hey everyone
I've had an interest in martial arts 4ever but as yet have never seriously pursued it. However I'm at a point now where I'd really like to do something that benefits my mind, body, spirit & I think martial arts (or something simialiar) is the best way to go. My health is certainly not at its peak these days. I'm actually hoping to find a school that isn't main stream so to speak. By that I mean one with a quality teacher, fairly small classes & reasonable priced lessons. I'm not asking for much am I? :D
From what I've read the teacher is the most important asset for any martial arts student regardless of style. So please, anyone with any information about classes (internal &/or external forms) in the heart of Sydney where I work (preferably within walking distance to Townhall), Parramatta (near the station) or Penrith (where I live), I'd really appreciate your feedback. From there I'll do some reading regarding each style that catches my interest & see if it fits what I'm looking for.
The 1, 2 schools I tried in the past really weren’t what I was after, plus my internet research hasn’t helped a great deal either. So please, whatever information you guys could offer would be really appreciated.
Thanks heaps!

P.S The styles I’m not interested in to narrow it down a little are TKD (tried as a kid), Karate & Wing Chun (tried early this year). I have nothing against these them. They just don’t offer the more rounded package I personally am looking for.
