Looking for a dojo in Phoenix/Mesa area

I'm looking for two things:

1. A good dojo in the Phoenix/Mesa (AZ) area
and
2. A good style!!

I haven't really researched many styles, but I was hoping I could ask for a good beginner style while I was at it. If at all possible I'd like something in the way-east side of Mesa.

Any help is appreciated!:D

I live in Glendale. The only dojo on your side of town that I have any contact with is Aikido of Phoenix, in Chandler. I know it because I tried out the branch dojo in Glendale when I first moved here. A schedule conflict forced me to look elsewhere, but I like Fleegle (the Glendale teacher) and I like Mastason (the Chandler owner/chief instructor). They teach aikido as a budo, if that makes a difference. I respect this school because they're not afraid to mix it up with other martial arts. Every year, for example, they join with a karate school in Scotsdale and host a karate seminar featuring some guy from England. I can't recall his name now, but he travels the world teaching karate. Very cool.

I attend Arizona Aikido, on 5th Ave and Van Buren in downtown Phoenix. It's little more than a stone's throw from the I-10, so it's very easy to get to. We have students from Avondale and Cave Creek and Scotsdale and everywhere. I love it here.

Just to let you know I am new to this forum. I have been going to a school (AKA. Dojo) that is Christ based. it is a Jeet Kung Do school ran by a Ken Jezek who has been in martial arts for many years. adx1849 I dont know how far this is from you but there is a Wu Shu school off of the 202 called Joseph Eagar's Wushu Academy. I cant seem to find the exact address but i beleive it is right next to the chinese cultural center.
