now this has probally been beaten to death but i've just come back from training and yeah i'm sweating and yeah i'm tired and yes i've got some good practice done but have i really trained 100%.
have i honestly pushed myself to point where i can't go anymore.
but i'm tired and i'm sweating and like i said before i got some good practice out the way and i'm thinking if i wasn't so weak and sweaty would i practice better.
so then i get to a point where i'm asking am i training 100% to improve my skill 100%.
would do you think, JHughes.

if you dont have a good solid coach you'll never hit that level to hit that peak, you need someone else invested in your success

dude your the only one who can tuely know whether your going 100% or not so its not us you should be asking its yourself, often people dont give it their all because they dont need to, if you dont think your giving it your best maybe you need to reevaluate your motivation? (try watching the rocky movies, their always good for a motivation boost)

For comparison, I never feel like I've given 100% in a workout. It's probably psychological with me, since I still have energy to move about afterwards. :D Anyway, point being I've still made good progress. Personally, I'd be more concerned that something needed changing if I was to plateau.

Remember this:
100% in a workout = recovery time of 1 week.
80% in a workout = recovery time of 2-3 days.
You do the math

Is it even possible to give 100% unless you're rescuing your trapped child from under a car or similar?
Welcome back, BTW. :)

Yeah, ive heard of crazy situations of people in bizarre scenes being able to summon super human strength. I think its to do with the intense concentration and mental focus increasing the efficiency of their movements by directing all potential neural energy into them, thus recruiting the maximum amount of muscle fibers their body will allow.
PS, yeah I got a computer again! Yes! Ill be watching over the HnF section once more!

the reason why i ask this question is because during a warm up i really push my self and really sweat. now i on't know whether that is a 100% warm up or not i'm just saying that i put quite a bit of effort in the fitness side of martial art.
then theres the practition the main bulk of the martial art where i'm getting the skill. (can you see where i'm heading with this) if i train hard in the warm up then that can make my practition sloppy because i'm fairly tired.
so i get to the question where is my physical fitness (warm up, repition ets) getting in the way of practition.
the reason why i ask this because when do you call it 100% training.
