I thought this might make for an interesting cardio workout but a timer is needed. Jog 50 seconds and sprint the last 10 seconds of each minute in your regular endurance run. Cardio people, mingle with the idea for a while and tell me what you think.. worth a try? suggestions?

That's a fantastic way to do intervals, it'll really help your endurance as well as elevate your metabolism which is great for fat loss, if you're into that.

Success! Although fat burning isn't my goal.. I thought with this plan I could still maintain aerobic pace with those intervals spread through out to maintain my anerobic conditioning. sound reasonable?

Oh God yes! I absolutely love it! I'm thinking about joining a swim team! I kind of fumblejumbled a swimming endurace workout in my head. Swim down and back a lap, get out and do 30 pushups or X amount of burpees, get back in and wade for 30 seconds. Repeat! But that would require a water proof stop watch.. WHICH I HAVE! :p But all that stuff should be posted on a routines thread so don't feel obliged to reply. Although tabatas in the POOL does sound pretty COOL. *waits for sarcastic laughter*

Just keep changing it up with various routines, as there is no one answer and if you don't vary you will plateau!

No it really isn't. You really don't want to puke or pass out in the pool. Trust me. ;) :D
