I am a HUGE fan of indie computer games - that is, games that are made by small independent game developers rather than the huge companies always out for one more buck.

This is a thread for you to list the good sites for indy games.

I'll start with my three favourites:

www.uplink.co.uk Great indie game about hacking in the year of 2010. Hack into corporate servers, destroy government mainframes, imprison people by tampering with their criminal record, upgrade your computer and gain fame in the hacker community and destroy the internet using a new and deadly virus. Shareware.

www.totallyscrewed.net Insane punk kid producing gory anarchistic games usually involving destroying zombies, cops and vampires with shotguns, flamethrowers and kung fu skills. Great fun for the mentally challenged gamer, such as me. Warning: Mature content (well, immature really, but you get the point) also shareware.

www.soldat.pl/main.htm If kicking ass was an offense, this game would get life! It's the greatest online multiplayer shooter I ever saw, ten times the fun of that overhyped garbage Counterstrike and twice as action-packed, with 15 different weapons and ALL FREE! Get this NOW! :D

Those are my three favourite indie games. Any other indie lovers out there?

I will now be updating this hugely popular thread because of discovering the hopefully soon-to-be-released Diablo/Fallout/Crusader/Shadowrun hybrid called Restricted Area. This game makes me drool just by looking at it, role playing with big guns and furious action. I'm gonna get this as soon as an English version becomes available

I loved Uplink. In fact, thinking about how much I loved it makes me want to play "hunt the cd" to play it again. Restricted Area is looking like my kind of game too, any word on when the English version is to be released?

www.morphlings.com - Introduces small creatures which can morph... pretty nonviolent game with focus on teamplay. Nice island :) (game on progress.. beta testing starting "soon")

www.oddlabs.com - Tribal Trouble. Gang on Vikings in deserted island. RTS game on progress (currently in closed beta testing)
