Neo kung fu? I guess that your not talking about the style of kung fu neo does in the matrix (although you could, as he mix's all the different types of kung fu together, as well as many other MA's).

Neo means new, so do you mean new kung fu, a variation on an old style? Where did you hear of 'neo kung fu'?

Sounds like a cool name to stick on your kung fu in order to sell it to more people. "oh, our kung fu is better. It is NEO kung fu, not old-fashioned kung fu!"

i heard it was a style of kung fu that was mostly for show and close to no self defense whatsoever

Adam... Although usually saying something is newer generally attracts people, I find that it works the opposite way around for kung fu (and pottery).

I've heard XMA described as Combasics and Neo-Karate. So maybe this is the same thing? Wushu with trendy clothes and hip hop music perhaps?

How does one tell neo Chi from traditonal Chi?

Is there an expiration date so I know when to toss them out of the fridge? :D

Neo chi is purple and has pink and yellow sparkles.

Is there an expiration date so I know when to toss them out of the fridge?

Dude if you are keeping it in the fridge, you might as well toss it out now. You are supposed to pour it out of your dantien directly into a chilled chi container and cover it up and put in the freezer.

Sheesh I can see why you do muay thai!

Well, one might decide that "Neo Chi" is like what was termed Radki in the OEC (Online Energy Community). Basically Radki was an entirely fluffy system of stupid, and potentially damaging (to the energy pathways), techniques based energy beams in things like Dragonball Z and various other animes, though primarily DBZ, since early in Radki's short history the names were taken straight from it.

LOL!

David,
I read this and for the life of me couldn't remember who you were. Or why you would be trying to pawn this nonsense off on 'ol Slipthejab..

But then it dawned on me... you're the cat with magic beans
and a freaky sifu! Wasn't it you that was on about your mystical sifu using Dit Da Jow to achieve bones so flexible he could absorb blows and punches by flexing his bones inwards?!?!.

No shocker that you pulled a cameo on the Neo Kung Fu thread! :D

BWHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!

Here are some magic beans to go with your tripe. :D

If your memory was just a little better, you'd not be so wrong about everything. You are a disgrace to MA - you live in HK and you've never even bothered to check out any kung fu? Joker!

Shove the beans up your ass,

David

I think he's talking about Xin-wushu/New-wushu, i.e. the standardized forms created by the PRC.
