[China] Training Hong Kong

Hi all,

Anyone got any ideas where I could get a days training in Hong kong in September.

I have 5 days there and was planning to go to the park in kowloon every morning to try some tai chi and pick up any kung fu training that might me going on down there.

But it would be great to know somewhere to call in on if its permitted.

I train in Wing Chun and Choi Li fut.

You may have a typo in your post... A days training?

For the CLF and other things KF related you might check this guy out. He doesn't suffer fools lightly but if your in it to learn... then he's the man:

Depending on who taught your Si Fu (is he from Hong Kong?) you could always go visit his Si Fu (your Si Gung) or schools set up by his fellow students... Maybe...

I could be wrong... but a weeks time doesn't seem like a very long amount of time to study... unless perhaps you were at it twice a day for several hours each time.

I think he's just saying he's gonna be in HK for 5 days anyway, so is there anywhere he could drop in to casually train while he's there?

If you pop along to parks (depending on where you are staying) you will often see the oldies doing some Tai Chi. If you're lucky and are enthusiastic they might take you under their wing and show you a few things...

Failing that, head off to the Kam Shan and Lion Rock Country parks. There you will find macaques (of various species) and you can learn monkey... :D

Dr Moose was right tho, I can't commit to anything for that a day of training somewhere as the trip is part of my honey-moon and anymore than that could result in an annulled marriage before we get back home!! :eek:

I just wanted to see if I could pick up a few mechanics I could take back home and practise.

I m 2yrs into Wing chun and 1 year into CLF. So I d class myself as a dedicated beginner.

My Sifu is nt from HK and has got any connections for there anymore so I m on my own on this one.
