I'd need another 42 items in your spec to determine that.

From that list, and based on my experience, I would recommend Boxing and Kickboxing, maybe jui jitsu depending on the approach they take.

Painting is just hwrang's little joke about you asking about "art"

If it was me it would have to be eagle claw. With its joint locking techniques, northern kicking and its tumbling it would be a good style to start of with at your age.

Shortfuse, try a few martial arts for a bit. Find one you enjoy.

If you can't see yourself looking forward to training, you're not gonna make it far in that art.

Yeh.
try to train once at all of them.See which one you like best. from that list i would personally go for eagle claw. But that's jsut becasue i've alwasy wanted to study teh style (among lots of others). I'm reluctant to sugest which art would be best as
a) standerds and teaching methods differ form club to club
b) Interpretations and the whole way of doing things differs form club to club
c) MA can be a very person specific thing.

One thing i woud say. If your intereseted in learnig a martial art and not a martial sport tehn i owuld not go for Tae Kwon Do. BUt agaon saying that i have seen some TKD people who are more combat orientated. I.E. when trying to kick someone they dont kick above theirhead.

Just try a few of them. or all of them. Tey should give you a free first lesson.

Shortfuse,

That's a question that only you can answer. We can suggest different styles and such, but you have to figure out which feels better to you.The best thing is to go to the schools in your area.Watch a few classes and talk to the teachers.

After that talk to some of the students and see how they feel about their training. That's what i did when i first started learning kung fu.My choice came down to two schools. In the end i choose one over the other because one of the teachers was very rude when speaking about the other.

I explained that i was trying to choose between his school and another and he just went off saying bad things about the other teacher and school. So after that i choose the other school and i'm so happy i did.We squash the other school everytime we face them in tournaments. My sifu never said anything bad about the other school or it's teacher.Even when i told him what the other guy said.

To me that showed alot of class.

But you need to look into the schools and see what you like.

If I were in your shoes I'd take either eagle claw, shaolin or ju jitsu. These styles seem better suited for a smaller person (not that larger people can't learn them;) ).
As already mentioned make sure the instructors attitude is good. And which ever school you chose I suggest staying away from signing contracts and putting large amounts of money down. It should be pay as you learn and the school should sell itself. Just my 2cents:)
