I read a 2-book series many years ago and I have been wanting to reread them, but I can't remember the author or the exact title. "Swordmaster ..." something I was wondering if anyone out there has read them and knows the author and correct titles.

The series is about a young man, back in feudal Japan, who was born in the upper class. He ends up in poverty, working for a blacksmith, learns Kenjitsu from a swordmaster as an apprentice, yada, yada, yada ... ends up glorious in battle ... That's about all I can remember.

It is kind of a mix between Shogun and Star Wars; has a bit of a Luke Vs. Vader thing going on.

Anybody ...???

I would realy like to find these and read again. Very good story.

Actually, I think I just found it on Amazon.com.

Sensei & Sensei II: Sword master; by David Charney. Copyright 1986.

Anyone read these? They are awesome if you like reading fiction of feudal Japan.

Have you read the book on Miyomoto Musashi? That is a prettly long book but a good one. It has been about 8 years since I have read it so my details on it are a little rough. Check it out.
