I had a post last week asking if anyone knew of any Kuk Sool Won insructors in Maine so that I could continue the training I had begun years ago before moving to Maine. Recent events and information have caused me to rethink my loyalty to Kuk Sool Won since I am now convinced that the WKSA is not the only place to get the knowledge that I'm looking for. There is a Jungki Hapkido instructor approximately an hours drive away (if you live in Maine you know what that means, an hour or more of backroads at 35 mph). I'd love to train with them but they only train one night a week, and I wear an eyepatch which restricts me from night driving. I'm not just a hobbyist, I want a situation where I can train at least 3-5 times a week. So if anyone knows of anyone certified to teach Traditional Korean Martial Arts in the Southern Maine area please help me out. At this point I'm even willing to study Tae Kwon Do, no disrespect to the system, but I'm really not looking for anything "sport" oriented. I'm looking for a soft/hard "traditional" system with a curriculum that revolves around joint locks, foot and hand strikes (mainly palm techniques), hyung, and traditional weapons.
