Sorry if this has been asked before, but with strength training is there any disadvantage for doing each exercise in isolation? By that I mean doing bench press, then a few hours later doing curles, and then a few hours later doing another exercise. So your doing all three sets of 8 (or whatever) at the same time, but you do each exercise with a break. It just seems this way you would be able to push harder with each individual muscle group. Are there any disadvantages to this method?

No disadvantag at all except it consumes more time.

and you'd be giving up the possible cardio benefits of supersetting or circuit training.
