Always dubious about anything with Tom Cruise in it but, this does at least look like a couple of hours entertainment. Sounds like he trained pretty hard for the part.

I'm looking forward to it.
It should be good, too bad I have to wait untill January for it. But, yes, I think it should be good.

It doesn't seem to matter these days about having martial artists for fighting films. In fact I thing its more important to have a good fight co-ordinator and director....?
It *could* be very good.

I think you're right PGM. I've never really thought that the actors have to be Martial Artists to be honest. There are so many BAD films out there starring MA's that wanted to make a career in acting. OK so maybe they don't get offered the scripts or maybe they don't have the acting talent?
I'm not a huge fan of the overuse of CGI in films either and therefore think that the right choreographer/director mix is paramount. I think that fight scenes in recent years have come on leaps and bounds. It also sounds like actors and film producers are recognising that they need, at least, some training in order to pull it off.
I have to admit to vast amounts of jealousy for these actors being payed to train in the MA's to prepare them for a film. Can you imagine if someone gave you the opportunity to train hard for nine months in your chosen art and paid you to do it...?

Been waiting months for this film so hopefully I will enjoy it. From what I gathered it was something bout the displacement of the traditional samurai ways in japan and bringing in the modern artillery. I wonder which side Tom Cruise is on?
I'd like to see the samurai masters fairing up against bullets......If they can.
