Absolutely great move by the WFA - they're showing dedication to signing top fighters and they're getting some serious bragging rights with their current stable

Good move, WFA is shaping up nicely but I don't know if they have the financial backing or the business savvy to "steal" significant marketshare from either the UFC or Pride.

Their pockets are very deep by the looks of things. Everyone that's been interviewed after signing for them has said that they're well backed and they're showing something the UFC's not business sense wise - dedication towards getting top fighters, which over time will most likely lead to their becoming significant competition. They've got Rampage, Mayhem, Lindland, if Bas fights again, it'll be for them, they made a concerted effort to get Crocop and now they've got Herring. For an organisation that's had just one event in four years, that's a pretty good place to start

Great way to start, assuming they can afford to keep paying these guys without making a lot of money.

I would be shocked if they are making a profit, and it will be a long haul before they can convince the U.S audience that the UFC is not the only MMA organization.
