Is anybody doing Charles Staley's, Escalating Density Training? I read his book and started my lifting program yesterday, and I'm feeling sore in new places today!

Anyway, I don't want to pay 40 bucks a month to access his user forums, but I was wondering if anybody here was doing EDT? If so what do you think? Have you had good/bad results so far?

Thanks.

One of the coaches in my gym loves it to death and it is great! What do your 15 minute PR zones look like?

I started with the dumb bell snatch. I realized that I had too little weight but, as I was working at home couldn't adjust it. Ended up doing 14 sets of 5 reps on each side at 10 lbs.

Still I was way more sore than I would ever have guessed. It really blasted my legs doing all those squatting snatches, 140 in 15 minutes.

Are you doing EDT yourself?

I did some EDT cycles way back when, like, when it was almost a brand new concept (and we used 2 20-minute PR zones per workout). It worked great for putting muscle on, and I don't think any workout has made me sweat that much since.

What do you want to get out of it? What are your training goals?

My goal is to be able to take my shirt off in public. Seriously. Not at the mall or anything, :D but at places like the beach or a hotel pool.

I'm not in bad shape now, no love handles for example, but I want to have a flat stomach if not a six pack, and secondly to have some musculature that shows. I'm reasonably strong, but my muscles don't look impressive at all. :(

Pssshhh, 6-8 weeks of consistent EDT and some smart nutrition and you should be golden. but you will need to sort out that weight issue. I don't think 10-pound snatches is going to cut it.

LOL, yeah I know it! I'm going to buy some additional free weights this weekend.

I'll be snatching 15 lbs before you know it! ( kidding! :D )

BTW thanks Colucci (formerly BeWaterMyFriend)! :D
