Here is my current routine for refference when answering my question.

Monday
Bench Press - 5x5
Military Press -5x5
Squat - 5x5
Deadlift - 5x5
Weighted Pull Ups - Alot. Sometimes 30ish. In sets of 5 or 6. (I'm working on getting a one arm pull up.)
Weighted Dips - 8x3
Weighted Situps - 8x3
Calf Rasies - 8x3

Tuesday
Heavy Bag Work
Ultimate Burpees - 8x3

Wednesday
Same as Monday

Thursday
Same as Tuesday

Friday
Same as Monday

Note: I don't do the exercises in any order. I change up alot.

I would like some routine editing if needed... but my question about benching... Usually on my third or fourth set I can't lift the weight up. Bench press is the only exercise where this happens. Could it be my time between sets? I usually try to get 1 - 1:30 inbetween sets. I'm thinking about droping back to 8x3 for benching. Thoughts?

Lower the weight for the third or fourth set.

You'll probably **** your back up doing squats and deadlifts on the same day. I know I did. You'd be better off doing deads on the monday (alternating between squats and power cleans each week) and maybe squats on the friday. Also, apparently doing chins and dips on the same day isnt a good idea either, but not sure.

I've been doing Squats and Deadlifts on the same day since I started lifting. Never found any problems. Same with dips and chins. I've also tried spliting up squats and deadlifts and found I don't lift any heavier and the weight isn't any easier.

Lower the weight for the third or fourth set.
Thats what I've been doing.

Well if you're lowering the weight for each set, instead of actually going up, on days when you do weighted chins, deadlift, squat and military press at the same day.. It's pretty obvious why you can't lift the weight up.. You're either too worn out during the day from doing every major exercise there is, or there's the fact that your ego is getting ahead of your muscle and you can't actually lift what you think you can. Maybe go ahead and lower the weight even more there so you don't end up crushing your skinny self.

And you're not even 16 yet, of course you don't think your back is taking punishment because you probably haven't got close to the weight needed to hurt yourself yet. Belive me.. When you get a +150 kg deadlift or atleast over a 100 squat.. If your form is even half bad and you try to do 5 x 5 of both on a single day, 4 times a week, for a prolonged period of time.. Your back is gonna look 80 by the time you're 30.

Are you doing the actual 5X5 method or just 5 sets of 5 reps. That looks like a lot of volume each training day and you're doing it three times a week with no variation.

1. rest longer
2. Are you using the Bill Starr 5x5 or just a straight sets 5x5 everytime?

If those are near your limit 5x5 sets, its way too much volume. You'll break yourself.

You're not supposed to do every single thing you can think of every time you hit the gym. Smart thing is to split all the exercise up into multiple days and go as hard as you can on each.

Addressing bench press-where in the lift are you struggling/failing at?

About half way up the lift it stops and slowly comes down.

I am doing just 5x5, not the program.

or there's the fact that your ego is getting ahead of your muscle and you can't actually lift what you think you can.
:o I think that might be it.

Addressing some other things, I deadlift and squat alot heavier than I bench. And with deadlifts.. Where should you "feel the burn"?

I also cut a few exercises to 8x3.

EDIT: I should slit up squats and deadlifts?
