View Full Version : dim mak
my current MMA instructor is a 3rd degree black belt in ryu kyu kempo, and my friends and i have been very interested in that particular field of his study, specifically dim mak.
so i was wondering, how are you supposed to practice this stuff? is it really effective? is it worth it?

Attacking vital points can be an extremely useful aspect of your martial art. On the other hand there is an awful lot of bull**** taught in this area. But first you need to have a 'delivery system', ie. you need to be able to strike/kick/grapple strongly and effectively - without these skills no amount of knowing about pressure points will be any help whatsoever.
