Greetings,
I have a good friend of mine who lives in Konawa (Oklahoma). He has studied a bit of martial arts here and there and particularly likes Combat Hapkido.
I am looking for a Combat Hapkido, Hapkido, or other good martial arts school to recommend him to.
Thanks!

Thomas, there is one Hapkido school in Oklahoma City and 1 in Norman. The one in Oklahoma City is my instructor and the one in Norman is an acquintence of mine.
If he likes the Hapkido flair, he'd also like the Kenpo school down the road. Soke Bradbury has high ranking in Hapkido.
I'm not quite sure where Konawa is from OKC...so I don't know how far of a drive he is from my area (I'm in the OKC area). PM me if you want some more info.

Thank you for the info (the search I did on google before posting this turned up pretty dry) with the exceptions of GM James Ray (Ho Shin Do) and another, probably the ones you mentioned.
Can you give any background on Ho Shin Do or GM Ray? What's the Hapkido background and what's the "aim" of the school (e.g. tradition, self defence, etc.)?
Does Soke Bradbury offer classes in both Hapkido and Kenpo? What's his HKD background (what system)?
Thank you so much, I'll pass this on to my friend.

GM Ray is my instructor. The main aim of the school/his teachings is self defense. Here is his background-http://thewcaf.com/resume/ray.htm I apologize, he's working on updating it. Here's a bit more on his background http://www.freewebs.com/hoshindo/aboutjamesray.htm
Here's a bit about the HoShinDo philosphy-http://www.webspawner.com/users/ushoshindo/index.html
I will call him tomorrow and get the web addy for the school.
As far as Soke Bradbury, here is his background-

Here is the site addy to the school-http://www.americankenpobu-jutsu.com/
I have spent time in Bradbury's school and time away with him out of his school and he is an upstanding guy and a fantastic martial artist.
