Hi all. I am going to start Hapkido this weekend. I have some minimal experience in martial arts (limited judo, and a yellow belt in tae kwon do) After researching what I am looking for and what is available in my area, Hapkido seems like a good fit. ( I also have available ninjitsu, aki-jujitsu, many tae kwon do schools as well as combat hapkido)

My question is are there any videos/dvds out there that would help supplement my training? I know nothing will replace a good instructor and practice, however, I have always been the kind of person who would like to read ahead and prepare.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :D

Cheers!

Videos can be a good way to help remember and review what you are learning (as well be interesting to "just watch" ). Before investing any money though, I'd check with the instructor to see what s/he recommends.

Take a look at http://www.hapkido-info.net/html/hapkido_videos_com.html for general information on what's out there. Another suggestion I'd offer is to check out the "media" section at www.hapkidoforum.com for reviews of some of the more popular ones.
