View Full Version : Where are the other new threads?

Just curious about this; I'll log in and get the message telling me how many new threads and posts there are, and when I click "View New Posts", there are fewer threads than indicated by the count. For example, message says there are seven new threads, but only three show up when I go to view them. Huh?

Also, is there a way to get a printable view of one's journal, so the whole thing can be printed out? (I notice we can get printable views of threads).

The number of threads I can explain...

For example - you may see "6 new threads and 25 new posts" but when you click on "View new posts" you may only see "Topics 1-10 of 10" displayed. That's because many of the new posts are in the same few threads.

If I post 3 new threads, and 5 people reply to each - you would see 18 new posts (my 3 plus the 15 replies) but only 3 new topics.

Make sense?

As for the Journal thing - yes, that WOULD be a nice feature!

ATTN: hongkongfuey Can we do that?

What flummoxes me is when it says there are ten new threads, and when I view them I only see four or five!

I think it means x number posts are made in x number of threads.

It also count threads in which new posts are given, not new threads

New threads are shown only in the main page in the left hand side

Maybe the missing threads are in forums you don't have access to view? There are four.

I figured it it's a forum thing....I remember if you clear all your new threads and then only one new post appears you will see "1 new thread started and 1 new post"

...except in the main page there it will simply tell you there's one new post....sorry quick reply was faster than editing

(lazy lazy quick replying Cain)
