What I hear of Ethopian Jews and Christians is intriguing. They tend to canonize scripture other denominations have rejected in canonization and seem even more connected than their Western counterparts. Many Ethiopians claim that the Lost Ark is in their country. Anyone believe this?
I personally wouldn't discount it as I think it is entirely possible though I wouldn't bet on it for sure?
What do y'all think?
What else y'all got to say on Ethiopia's unique brand of Judaism, Christianity, and dare I bring up Rasta?

I don't know that the Ethopian Church can be directly compared to Rastafarianism. The Bible they have is almost as old as the Bible approved by the Nicean counsil and has retained many of the books that were lost when the Nicean counsil finalized the Bible. They are structured much like the Roman Catholics and might be considered a bit of a bridge between the RC and Eastern Orthadox. Which is about all I know of this branch of Christianity and I know nothing of their branch of Judiasm.

I'm not trying to compare Rasta to Ethiopian Cristianity or Ethiopian Judaism. I only mentioned it because it also originated from Ethiopia and is a unique form of Judeo-Christianity.
By the way if there's any confusion to why I'm using the term "Judeo-Christianity" it is because from what I know of Ethiopian religion the bonds between Judaism and Christianity are stronger than they seem to be in the West in terms of scripture and beliefs and traditions.

Interesting that you would say the bonds are closer to Judiasm. What little I know of it would seem to indicate that the closest bonds are with the Orthodox and RC churches- but then I am no expert.

Yea but they won't let anyone except one old monk look at it. I suppose your eyes would boil out of your head like in the movie.....
