Lots of feedback please.

Yeah,
I feel as if Iam on a downward spiral at the moment. My trainings been pretty sparse the last couple of months due to work commitments. I reckon I need a new club that suits me one thats probably nearer my workplace so I could make it more regularly. Whats stopped me is I still hope to get back into the routine at my old club because I enjoyed it.
ps I voted sometimes

I'm currently very depressed because I've moved and can't afford the new schools downpayment plan. They are the only one in the area and I really want to start back into it, but.......
To learn how to fight.
I'd also like to have a professional fight, so sport in that sense. :)

Somthimes I feel like I need to gain so much more but my stamina when in a MMA class lets me down far more than my technique.
Sometimes I just feel so drained!
Also there are a large amount of TMA people who I hold in high esteem!
However I know my ability and I am and always will be a better fighter than a martial artist!
SADLY
johndoch, it doesn't. The question is, What reasons do you all do martial arts for?

I take martial arts because I have always been interested in them. You know when a kid first learns how to ride a bike, without crashing, how happy he is? Well I am like that kid when it comes to learning new katas and submissions. It just makes me happy I guess thats what I am trying to say.

SADLY
just two things...
1. Have you fought and beaten the best martial artists in the world?
2. why 'sadly'?

Yeah, I'm sure my skills are degrading the older I get. Either that or nobody told me how crap I was when I was younger ;)

LOL, It is soooooo funny when twenty-somethings say that & I am always surprised how many people between 22 & 29 yrs. old utter that statement.
It is amazing that I can move at 48yrs. :D

Sometimes I feel like I'm crap at MA, but as a relatively new student, I'm allowed to feel that way. I get that feeling most when I'm comparing myself to other students, which is always a bad idea, anyway. If I continue to train, and train harder, I will get better.

I feel like I'm crap and it's for a very good reason. I've just discovered I've been doing my roundhouse kicks wrong since ___ knows when. Last time this 6th dan came down to train us - some low rankers were grading - he told me I was doing mine completely wrong and I had to turn my body in more. Well, last session I went up to my sensei and asked him about it and he said don't turn the body in more, he wants you to do it LESS. The only reason I know I have made a hash of them is because I actively asked him about it - he's just watched me doing a crappy roundhouse for ages - so I suspect that what is going on is some kind of schism. Yeah, he's probably going to come out and reveal that he's starting his own style.
My reasons, in no particular order:
The cool factor.
Competition fighting.
Self defence.
I'm an adrenaline junkie.
I don't have to take crap from people bigger than me. (Does that count as self defence?)
