A writer for Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine has approached me to relay this information to any physically or mentally challenged kung fu stylist that I might know of :)

He is currently putting together a piece that will expose the martial arts training regimen of the physically and mentally challenged kung fu stylist, exploring its effects on "able-bodied" martial artists (as well as those permanently and temorarily disabled) when incorporating these tools and techniques into their curriculum.

The article will be formatted as such:

Each physically or mentally challenged kung fu stylist interviewed will be given a "by-line" of 2-3 paragraphs detailing the tools and techniques used to surpass his/her disability and function as a martial artist, providing the
"able-bodied" martial artists with useful information in which to enhance their skills, strength and speed.

Beneath the paragraph(s) will be a 1-2 sentence bio/synopses of the artist, telling of how he/she became disabled, their struggles, strengths, goals, etc.

The central theme of the article is to supply the readers with useful knowledge and additions that will improve their martial arts practice, whether they're able-bodied, disabled or injured, and so the first question should
have a stronger emphasise.

You may mention more than one tool or technique that you as a physically or mentally challenged martial artist use to exercise, practice, or both, and can format your piece however you like, so long as it's kept within 2-3 paragraphs (there can be acceptions for some going over 2-3 paragraphs, depending on how it's formatted).

Also they request that you include 2-3 "action" photos of yourself (jpeg if via email).

Questions to be Answered:

1) What are some tools and techniques that you use to allow you, a
physically or mentally challenged person, function as a kung fu stylist/martial artist?

Bio:
1) How have you become physically or mentally challenged?

2) What are the types of rejections you have and still face as a
physically or mentally challenged martial artist?

3) What types of physical, mental and emotional difficulties you
have and still face as a physically or mentally challenged martial
artist?

4) What are your greatest achievements as a martial artist?

5) What are your strengths?

6) What are your future goals?

7) What advice can you give other physically or mentally challenged
martial artists?
