I went to a summercamp where we did FMA, but as one of the main instructors (Jeff Espinous) has done Pentjac Silat since -78, he agreed to show us a few basics and some easy moves. Now I'm hooked, and I want to practice - but there aren't any schools around here :(

Anyway, you guys who do Silat are lucky! ;)

If I am correct there is Norwegian Pencak Silat Federation/Association. Maybe you could contact them for more info on PS schools in your neighboorhood. On the website of the Persilat you can find contact details:

Believe me, I've already been looking. But, if I ever move to Oslo I'm so going to start doing Silat :D

For now, I'll just have to accept the fact that I'm living 6 hours away by car :(

A lot of FMA, particularly from the southern Fillipines has Silat influenced empty hands.

Yeah, I already know this guy, as we've been doing FMA together. Maybe I'll ask him to teach me some Silat the next time I meet him. Thanks for showing me that he knows Silat as well, as he's never mentioned it... :)

My teacher has a bunch of students in Sweden and Finland. They might know some Norwegian pesilat.
