Many of you know I teach CIMA and qigong/neigong. I'm also a certified triggerpoint therapist and a tuina bodyworker. I have had piriformis/sciatica that has steadily gotten worse over the last couple of years. I've had everything, chiro, acupuncture, ART, you name it. While some abated the syptoms for a time the pain always returned. Recently a friend told me about this book, Pain Free, by Pete Egoscue (www.egoscue.com). I've been doing his hip exercises for less than a week and my pain has diminished an incredible amount. So if you have any musculoskelatal issues, please look into this.

Pete's work is postural/structural in nature.

Yep. I tore a calf muscle a few years back and somebody pointed me at this book. I found it very helpful. He also has one aimed at computer/RSI injuries, and I know folks who have gotten great benefit from that.

They have free online menus of exercises for their three poor posture sypmtoms on the website as well that change every month. While it is certainly a business, they seem to actually care about you getting better.
