Due to a schedule class with my continueing Practical Taiji training I can't attend the SWCO classes, but I have found another teacher called Dennis Mulholland who's classes are on a different night and would like to know [from any people in Glasgow who have studied with him or seen his classes]

Does he teach all of the forms [3 basics, 8 cutting knifes and the six and a half point pole, Wooden dummy and maybe the wall bag] and does he teach full contact sparring?

I am asking this here as I am moving to Glasgow in a while and there seem to be quite a few Glaswegian WCists on these boards.

Hi Andoru,

I've trained with Dennis a fair bit.
He's a good guy and a good teacher.
I didn't spend long enought with him to learn what he does and doesn't teach, though I know he knows the Mook Jong forms.

On a plus side, I believe he's well qualified to teach Thai, and is pretty up on BJJ too.

Go see him, he's the best person to answer your questions.

I have also trained (once) with Dennis. Nice guy, decent WC.

I think he's also certified by Rick Young in JKD / kali, although I don't know what level he's at.

I think there's also a school under Sam Kwok / Paul Smith, possibly in Maryhill? The name Brian Queen rings a bell, but I have never met him. Try google.

As you can see from the website, it's only the Maryhill class that runs now under Brian Queen. I've been training there for a short while now & it's been all good.
If you decice to come along it's easy enough to find, just jump on the underground to St. Georges Cross station & walk up Maryhill Rd. for 5 minutes & the Community Centre is on the right hand side.
