View Full Version : i need a better core workout system.....plzzzz help

hell every1 i am an ab fanatic and i can do 100's of situps or crunches or leg lifts at a time and i am sick of 30 minutes ab exercises and i frequently get bored and stop do u guys have any idea for a much more effect ab trainin program..... i can do dragon flags but elevated v-sits are a little beyond me...not because my abs aren't strong enuf but because my left shoulder got dislocated and hurts when i try elevated v-sits i also do planks a lot and just about every ab workout i can think of so if u could help me out and give me some ideas for a better stronger ab workout routine i would appreciate it alot...... i've heard that the scuba diver's conditionings is awesome ab workout but i haven't been able to fiind it... so if u bothered to read this please help out

do you have access to weights? there are plenty of brilliant weighted exercises such as full contact twist, turkish get ups etc if you have access to a barbell.

The governer of california did 30 min of ab work a day i dont know if thats were you heard it but its a waste of time even for him.

Hanging situps
Weighted Situps
Hand to toe crunches (arms poker strait beside your head and you crunch up so hands and feet/knees nearly meet).
Side Bends

One handed, one footed pressups with your hand on a ball. I've been trying these recently and they are ridiculously good for working the core.

Sprint uphill and downhill as fast as you safely can. Do it long enough on steep enough slopes and your gut will verge on exploding!

Have you tried Turkish getups and overhead squats?
