Hopefully i'll be starting Ju Jitsu on wednesday and i was wondering what to expect in my first lesson and are there any tips you could give me?

It should be pretty easy going being a first lesson. Which type of JJ? The instructor should cater for your experience/skill/fitness level and you shouldn't be a bleeding, pulpy mess at the end... Unless you ask to see his gradings. :D

If its JJJ, first class genneraly covers the basic roll, fall, strikes, kicks, stances, and blocks, and then future classes gradually build on those basics.

When you get up to techniques, each one will represent a certain principle of body mechanics & how to use said principles to your advantage so Jim has a hard time turning you into a bleeding, pulpy mess.;)

Nah, they always leave out some basic thing (like proper ukemi) so you stay hurt until BB when they reveal the 'secret'. :D

And normally throw in one or two 'advanced' techniques to try and hook ya! ;)
