Does anyone know a good school in the Baltimore area? I am willing to travel/I work south of baltimore so I guess any schools 20-30 miles north or south of baltimore. I tried to search online but didnt have too much luck...

Here is a USA GOJU school that might be close to you. Very good Sensei. Traditional, hard hitting, etc...

Do they have a website or anything?

No web site. This is a traditional dojo. It is a place to train, not to make money. If you are interested I will find a phone number for you. Send me a message and I will try to help. I did'nt realize that Laval is quite far from Baltimore though. It may not work for you.

I know this is an old post, but I just started the M.E.S.S (Majapahit Empire Skirmish System) in Laurel, MD. Check it out:

http://www.mdsilat.com/

The instruction is primarily Pencak Silat (Serak and Harimau) with some Muay Thai, Jun Fan Gung Fu, and JKD concepts. Essentially Inosanto blend.

Guro Steve Braun is the teacher and he's REALLY excellent. There are people in the class that have been with him for 10 years all the way down to beginners so it's a nice mix.

I've taken 3 classes so far. We've done stick work, knife work, a Juru, Silat style beginners punching, and alot of other stuff. I really like the class. About 75% of the training time is spent with a partner so you actually are training to hit and defend against a real defending target and not air.

The website says classes are 7-9:30 pm on Tuesdays. We also meet at a park on Saturdays from 8-10:30 (or later than 10:30 sometimes).

I hope to see you there!
