Neither. Boy with all this interest, maybe I should think about producing a video series  That's another thread...
Patience, I want my son to be the Uki for the Arnis. He will be 5 weeks post knee surgery this friday. He is at about 90% of full range motion. He should be ready by the end of next week. I will tape my 2 Kata at the same time...

Remeber when I said I would never see a video from Danjo either... I think Prof. Geary must be the only member of the KGS to ever record a video.

Why doesn't everybody in this childish argument just get in the cage, let that be judge...not who can do the prettiest dance...that'd sort it...after all, it's fighting skill that matters...isn't it?

I am a no body but if Joe V. is who i think he is, he doesnt have to show anyone anything on video. He is a stand up guy and a great martial artist. I just wrote a bunch more but he does not need defending to any extent so i will leave it at this

It's Joe Viera from Master Mullaney's.
Sifu Dwire, I am humbled by your kind words Sir. You are far from a "nobody" Sifu. Your skills and lineage speak for themselves. You are well respected by many Seniors and your schools produce quality students. (That know how to bring it :D )
Nice to hear from you again! I hope you and yours are all well and out of the flood zone.
Peace!

I'm just giving JoeV. a hard time :D I would like to see the video, I was about to pop another bag of popcorn but I'll wait for the video to come out.
We've had three threads about CNG closed out. Everyone has said there piece and there is no more to say. It's time to move on. To each his own....
Let us know when the video is up JoeV. No, you have nothing to prove to any of us. But you voluntered the video so we're waiting. I do believe that Danjo also offered one up during the debates. If the offer still stands then post the videos.
respectfully,
josh

Thanks JoeV,
I knew that was you. We are out of the flood plans but that doesnt mean i didnt take some water into the Dojo from the past weekend. Had to close on Monday - but i figured since they evacuated half the city it was the right thing to do. Its nice out today - need to get into the school and continue to air it out. Master Mullaney's new school is sweet. Been up there a few times what a set up. Well 10 more days and i will be married and no more posts for a few weeks.
--on another note- interesting that 2 kata is the form everyone is doing. That has got to be one of my favorite forms.

Sifu, I am sorry to hear your dojo took some water. We were fortunate and had no damage to the dojos.
Getting married in 10 days! Congrats to You Sir! Good Luck to you and your future bride!
I like 2 kata because it was the first form I learned in our system that started out stepping backwards.
I still teach the bunkai we learned from GM. Pesare in R.I.
Nice to hear from you again Sifu!
Peace!

I guess your forms don't look as perfect on video as they do in the mirror, eh? C'mon Joe, you said you could do all your kata perfectly every time, so let's see ONE. :bang:
Let me know if you want that video since you apparently think I'm all talk.

I do, still, await the tape.

A soon as I can put my hands on it, I'll send it off. I just moved and the damn thing got packed somewhere. If I can't find it in the next week, I'll do another one and send it for you. I honestly DO understand how desperate you guys are for good instruction out there in Omaha. Sorry for the delay---Dan

Just a quick question to all the Seniors.
Would you object to having your techniques posted on the web for review by the general public and your peer group in the Arts???
Please include your reasoning pro or con.
I wasn't sure how to quote something from a different thread. this was posted on a thread titled "Posting videos for peers" or something like that. This was the first post and it was by Joe V. And now part of the general public would like to watch the video....unless something would prevent the video from being posted. something such as the perfect kata is hiding or the tape of the kata is hiding. either way, i'm not sure if i want any popcorn.

Hmmm...I guess you're addressing me because I actually am senior in rank to Geary in Shaolin Kempo. So as far as that goes, no. Once I send it, post away. I'm not the kata god or anything, but I sure as hell look better than Geary and Steiner do. I'm not any better at them than Matt is, but I'll throw mine out there. There's a lot of ground between the perfect kata and what Geary and Steiner showed.

No I wasn't addressing you. That quote was something that JoeV. said. I just want to watch the videos because they were offered. If they're good then they're good. if not, oh well.

How do I respond by not starting round 4? hmmm......
I'm not going to. This thread is about the videos, not CNG getting a black belt because Professor Ceiro thought he was worthy of one.

You're a fool. Hanshi Angel is one of the few legit Grandmasters. The 1st requirement is for you're instructor to recognize them as the Hanshi as his did. None of the Grandmasters in your lineage has that! You're a winer. The whole Hawaiin Kempo lineage is questionable at best. You're lineage dosen't go any farther than the great Mitose!
The only hardcores out there are these guys.http://www.thepit.tv/home.html
The rest are all suckass wannbes wasting their training time on hidden technique while the rest of the world is talking about you're sorry weak ass SSK!
I have a current Kenpo Instructor but he dosen't teach the weak **** you train. You should made the trip from LAX to SJC when you had the chance. I was injured at the time and still would of put you down. Now if it ever happen you will deal with the real. Post #9 http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=918619#post918619
You keep training that weak ****. Thats OK but don't be blind to whats around you because it will bite you.
You don't answer at MT if it dosen't suit you.
He went out and got it from people outside of his system like a lot of others do. It' s a lot of commercialized hype really.
Mostly all 10th's went that route in 1 way or another. Emperado didn't receive his 10th from his instructor. It was from the Hawaii Chinese Physical Culture Association. Who promoted Gascon to 10th? Emperado promoted Parker to 8th and then if I'm not mistaking he promoted himself to 10th.

You're Villari Video Test Brown Belt was a purchased brown belt. How sad. You could of at least prurchased a black belt from him. :D
