I am 25 and studied Kung Fu when I was younger for about 3 years. I am looking for a teacher here in the city. I don't know much about grapling techniques but I do like circlar steping and hand motions and open handed combat. I believe that a good teacher is more important than the dicipline and so I am looking for a recomendation for an excellent teacher here in the city. I prefer not to venture too far from whatever learning I have ingrained in me already but for the right intructor I don't really care that much. I plan on enrolling with my girlfriend as well, I wonder if anyone knows what styles are better for women, or if there is any difference at all.
Thanks

Chinese Kung Fu Wu Su Assoc.
28 West 27th Street. Website: www.kungfu-wusu.com
There are 26 distinct and complete styles outlined in their curriculum. ... also 4 traditional Shaolin weapons and 18 classical military weapons
That is a very good school, ask for Sifu Li.

How about Kwong Man Fong - Pak Mei (White Eyebrow), or Yip Wing Hong - Lung Ying (Dragon Style) in NYC. A short web search should find you enough info as to location.

Tonyspoonz posts : "no offense to white eyebrow but white eyebrow and shaolin kung fu/wu shu dont mix....shaolin has bad history wit white eyebrow...u shuld just check it out....."
Firstly the 'bad history' story is a myth. Secondly, what exactly do you believe does not 'mix'? Thirdly, Pak Mei is Siu Lum Kung Fu/Wu Shu.

So as to avoid more confusion for you, I have copied and pasted above a copy of your post. I did the same thing (that is to say copied and pasted a copy of some of your post) originally - are you with me?
You post "wut is pak mei", well Pak Mei is Chinese for White Eyebrow.
You also post "im no really sure wut ur tryin to say", well I am saying that your information regarding White Eyebrow (Pak Mei) as posted, i.e. "no offense to white eyebrow but white eyebrow and shaolin kung fu/wu shu dont mix....shaolin has bad history wit white eyebrow...u shuld just check it out..." , is incorrect.
