We are 21 Minute Convenience Fitness - you don't sweat.
Gee wiz, that's just what I want out of my workout.
(i.e. iso/poly-metrics, resistance training).
You mean "plyometrics", not some kind of geometry, right?
And I would imagine that not many of you wants to develop bulk.
"Bulk" is an intentionally vague term. Do you mean lean muscle tissue? Bodyfat?
I also have some of our elite competitors training on this system too with great results.
Like whom? Please name names.
The secret is slow-moving repetitions. It's hard to do alone but next time you lift weights, try doing the motions 10-seconds in each direction (positive and negative directions) for 3-minutes straight.

Superslow training is possibly the single worst method for increasing athletic performance. But since you made that claim, you need to convince me otherwise.
You want a 21-minute workout...Clean & Push Press 7x5. Problem solved. Oh, you "may" sweat a bit. ;)
I can tell you more if you're interested but you can go to our website for more info...
P.S., you certainly do sound like an advertisement. I'm hoping you can validate your claims, and carry one a useful discussion. If it turns out that you cannot, I'm afraid we'll have to take this post as an attempt at advertising, and act according to our T.O.S.

You're familiar with super slow and probably Power of Ten as well. Well the workout is anaerobic which means it doesn't work your heart, just the muscles - the purpose of a "strength training" program.
excuse me for typing too fast....
If I named a few athletes here in CA, would you know them?
It's not quite super slow, not quite power of ten. We've modified it to allocate to the type of workout our clients want. I'm sure you know about Fatigue Intensity Training.
I do believe I indicated my apologies in advance twice if it sounded like an advertisement. So if the powers that be here on MAP would like to delete the posting, I have no problems with that.
I know this training method is not for everyone and I try to be sensitive to everyone's needs. I do believe it's a great program. But you are entitled to your own opinions.
Thanks for the reply. Now we have two sides to this thread. I welcome additional comments. Cheers

LOL @ this thread.
I came close to deleting it because it is a blatant advert, but I feel it is more my place to slate it instead.
Let's begin...
We are 21 Minute Convenience Fitness - you don't sweat.
L-M-A-O.
Let me guess - you sell fat burners too?!? If you don't sweat in a workout, what are you actually doing?
If you do a search for superslow training, you will see the (closed) thread on it and my views on it.
Brief summary - Do any world-class athletes do a similar program? No. Will any respectable coach even honour the idea of superslow training these days? No. Is there any REAL science behind it? No. I could list the reasons why, but it would take me pages to simply sum up why this is a BAD workout for an athlete.
Personally I think it's completely aimed at the lazy generation that has come to dominate the world and it only goes to reinforce the quick fix attitude that most people have to fitness. If you are lazy or inactive, this may be a good start. For anyone even half serious about any kind of fitness, avoid like the plague.
The main thing is with stuff like this - anything works for a small amount of time, as anything is better than nothing. Lazy/old/inactive people will get results from a program like this as they are improving the muscle tonus that was lacking beforehand due to their inactivity. They may also gain some more permanent physical results through this program such as a little extra muscle or a little fat loss, as they would doing almost anything regularly. However, as I always say with training (stolen from Bewater!), there are good, better and best ways. This is barely good, and only because good means better than nothing.
I guess all the guys in the worlds STRONGEST man only need to work out their muscles because they only need to work on strength. I can see them all now, sitting there doing 10 second reps with 800 DAMN LB SQUATS
If you don't come up with valid answers to the questions and points raised, this thread is going straight in the bin as a blatant advert.
I have to apologise for the tone of this post, but garbage like this really gets my back up.

Which workout is anaerobic, yours? A 3-minute set is very much not anaerobic.
If I named a few athletes here in CA, would you know them?
That's a nice sidestep. I just may. I have friends and family in Cali. So...
It's not quite super slow, not quite power of ten. We've modified it to allocate to the type of workout our clients want. I'm sure you know about Fatigue Intensity Training.
Pretend I don't. "Hey KorTong, what's Fatigue Intensity Training, and how does is improve athletic performance in the martial arts world?"
I do believe it's a great program.
But Why??
But you are entitled to your own opinions.
Indeed, as are you. Ain't MAP grand? ')
Speaking of opinions, may I ask your opinion of the 21-minute workout I proposed?
You want a 21-minute workout...Clean & Push Press 7x5. Problem solved.

has anyone clicked on that link from the first post yet? i guarantee it'll make you want to shoot people.
"We cleverly incorporate a convenient no sweat cardio into your 21 Minute Workout!"
yeah, and they also have the balls to say that competitive athletes can benefit from this "method". it's kind of scary that this sort of crap is even acceptable in our society.

And the moral of the story is...SuperSlow = SuperStinks.

And don't call mods names when you're crying to them because you can't stand up for yourself and your crappy system. We definitely won't be seeing him again now :D
