First off, two mos. I used to weigh 190 lbs. at 5 ft. 7 in.
Now, I weigh 165 lbs. My target goal is 145lbs.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I run 3 miles at 8:00 mph(takes 24 min.). Plus some light weight lifting. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I run 5 miles(takes 42 min.) at the same speed. Saturdays and Sundays are usually rest days (Usually I play basketball on Saturdays). I am beginning to see that my weight is beginning to come off more slowly. Should I include more exercises or just stick with the routine I have now? Maybe run faster?

Try to increase your meals to 5 smaller meals a day, this increases metabolism.
Adding interval training will be more beneficial if your trying to lose weight, its pretty much better than continuous running in most aspects. If you don't know what it is, you sprint for a set distance/time and jog(or walk) for a set time/distance. You only need to do these in around 20min sessions.

145lbs seems way too small at 5' 7". Any specific reasons you want to lose weight? I would understand if you were trying to lose bodyfat but why weight?

Exactly. Maybe you have thing thing called "muscle". It weighs a lot more than fat and chicks think it's sexy.
If you still have some fat you want to get rid of, though, look more into what you're eating than how you're exercising.

Umm, I am kind of confused. I checked my BMI and its telling me that I am overweight and I need to weigh around 140-150 lbs. to be in range of normal weight. So, from what I understand, bodyfat and weight are two different things. I mainly want to lose body fat(the love handles and the thighs). I'm trying to get leaner, because I am trying tennis this summer. I'll try the interval training on days I do not have taekwondo. Thanks guys for the advice.

Weight = How much you weigh
Body Fat % = How much of your weight is fat
BMI = A load of crap

The BMI is a joke set in place to make insurance companies rich and normal people poor. Its a rather poor height to weight ratio. Many a professional athelete will fall into the overweight and obese ranges. So Don't Sweat It. If it really matters to you go get dunked and get a good measure of BF%.
5'10". 230lbs. BMI = Morbidly Obese... .... .... :bang: .... .... :woo:
