Due to the lack of Dojos in SA I'm thinking of taking up a home study course in Ninjutsu. Check it out www.ninjutsu.com. It is the BlackBelt Home Study Course by master Von Dolk.
Is there anyone that can guide me in making this disision?

If you absolutely cannot find a real school...I would go for this, it is better than nothing. If you are going to go with this, try to find someone to practice on. Just remember a home school black belt may not face up to a real blackbelt, but again, it is better than nothing.
Good luck in your training.

videos & books can help with your training no doubt - gaining a blackbelt via video/homestudy .........NO, not in my opinion!

You should really avoid these home study courses IMO. They are only there to line the authors pocket with cash. If you have no access to a dojo then you should check out other MA in your area and goto them. But then again, it is your cash at the end of the day.
I agree. Waste of cash, effort and time. I've seen these sorts of schemes where you only have to do 5 stances to earn the black belt. Martial arts training isn't all about earning that coveted black belt by any means, don't take any notice of the attention most people focus on it.

Nope, you either need to have a fairly experieced partner/teacher or get your a$$ to a class if you want to learn anything wirthwhile.
And.....MARTIAL ARTS ARE NOT A MONTHLY COURSE!!!!! :D

I put 'go for it' but I believe that dojo is obviously superior. There are Bujinkan dojo in South Africa though. http://www.bujinkan.co.za/

this is a waste of your time and money. It's like Micheal jordon sending you videos on how to be a NBA star. Or mike Tyson sending you videos on how to become a BOxing champion. If you want to be good at basketball, start playing basketball, you want to be a good boxer, then go box in the ring. You want to become a ninja or some other Martial artist, go to a Dojo and meet with a instructor who will help you in one day more than those tapes could help you in a year. i forget the exact quote by bruce lee, but its something along the lines of "dry land swimming"
