We are pleased to announce that we have launched Supporting Members on MAP.
MAP has grown tremendously since June 27, 2001 ... with more than 120,000 visitors that log onto the site each month (which includes now over 20,000 members) ... and this had put a strain on our server.
MAP will now be supported in part by the contributions of its members via shopping thru our various affilation links such as Amazon, Red Lizard, TKO and more to come!
We are NOT requiring members to pay to access this site and merely asking for donations -- and by donating this small amount, we will give you access to a more perks, as well as keep the site running and improving!
A site with our traffic level requires a much more sophisticated backbone to stand up to this load. We have managed to keep the site running (for the most part!) so far.
We have aggressive plans this year, to continue to improve the site's functionality and performance. Our first big project is nearing completion!
We have managed to keep the site free to its members for nearly 5 years. We are still going to do so. The Supporting Member program is a completely voluntary !
If you would like to buy a Supporting Member account, you will need to have a regular member account first.
To access Supporting Memberships, we ask for a donation of £10, $17.40, or €14.50 depending on your location. As an added extra for helping us out, you will get:
