Hi,

I am 6ft, and weight 12 stones, i just recently started to do weights starting with 2kg each. I mean is this a good weight to start with? In the future I am aiming to progress to lot more. Any advice would help such as reps and time .

Regards

London, If you are weight lifting for the first time you should use a weight that you can contorl easy while using proper form. When you have the form down you can then start to think about weight. Now the amount of weight you use will depend on you fitness goals ( mucsle mass,wt loss, general fitness, ect..). What types of lifts are you doing?

Please do some searches. Is 2kg even classed as a weight?!? The drink I just had probably weighed more than 2kg! I have no doubt you are stronger than that. Have a look around the other routines on here and some of the stickies and H+F resource library topics for some more advice, then look for a bit more guidance here :)
